5 Best (Low-Cost) Managed WordPress Hosting

How to get the best low-cost managed WordPress hosting for your website

If you are a small business owner who is trying to build an online presence one of  the last things you want to worry about is the day to day management of your website.

Luckily for WordPress website owners there is plenty of good quality low-cost managed WordPress hosting you can choose from.

In the past, is was necessary to have extensive programming knowledge to get your WordPress site up and running. Fortunately, today you do not need coding or technical skills to build and maintain a website. You only need two things.

Two Must Have Things For Your WordPress Website

  1. WordPress Content Management System (CMS)
  2. Managed WordPress Hosting

WordPress Content Management System (CMS) is the platform where all the files for your website are stored. With this CMS you can update, delete, add, or modify any of your website’s content from the back end of the site.

Website hosting refers to gigantic computers where websites live. With wordpress you have the freedom to choose where you want your site to reside. If you opt for Managed WordPress Hosting, you do not need to be concerned with the technical aspects of your website. Your hosting provider takes care of that stuff.

However, managed service will cost more than the regular web hosting services.  But you can always find some low-cost managed hosting options.

I have put together a list of five of the hosting companies who offer competitive pricing plans.

Bluehost.Com

The company was founded by Matte Heaton in 2003. It is now run by Endurance International Group which also operates other hosting services. Bluehost houses about 2 million domains on the internet.

Features of Bluehost Low-Cost Managed WordPress Hosting

Bluehost Hosting plans for WordPress begin at $9.95 for new customers who buy service for a minimum of three years. After three years, rates rise to $19.95 per month.

Customers receive one website and up to 20 GB of storage space. Bluehost provides a free SSL certificate for increased security as well as a 30-day free trial of Microsoft 365 Email Essentials.

From a support standpoint, Bluehost provides live chat and a telephone number for 24/7 assistance.

Their website indicates that the top-tier plan offers an additional service called “Blue Sky Live Support”, which is not available with the lower-priced options.

Online reviews seem to be split between either five-star or one-star reviews, with very few in between.

SiteGround.Com

SiteGround was started in Bulgaria in 2004 by Ivo Nikolov. Like Bluehost the SiteGround platform is home to some 2 million domains.

What’s Included in SiteGround's Managed WordPress Hosting

SiteGround offers managed WordPress hosting starting at $6.99 per month. This plan includes one website and up to 10 GB of storage space.

They also give users a free SSL certificate and unmetered traffic. This means site owners and page visitors can transfer as much data as necessary.

It ‘s important to note that customers must sign up for a year at this price, and upon renewal, the price will rise to $14.99 per month.

SiteGround provides many different channels for support. In addition to 24/7 live chat, users can access various automated solutions to find answers for simpler and common issues with ease.

Live operators can also assist with more complex issues.

Conclusion

As you can, there are many options for cheap managed hosting for WordPress sites.

Depending on your needs, each site provides different benefits. However there are a few features they all offer: features such as free website migration, 1-Click wordpress installation, and free SSL.

Something to keep in mind though, sometimes the most affordable option is not the most beneficial. This can be especially true when it comes to support.

If you use another low-cost managed WordPress hosting we would love to hear about your experience.
